DNR Waters’ programs encompass water resource protection and management, primarily focused on water quantity. However, water quality is also involved. We interface with the public, non-governmental, and other governmental agencies to address water resource issues. Because I am the only technical staff person in Waters at Detroit Lakes, I am not able to provide much assistance in environmental education, particularly in schools.
